Commissioned by Queens Park Design district, Studio Waldemeyer’s Union Flag takes its inspiration from director Moritz Waldemeyer’s home town of Halle, Germany. Based off the 20m high flag monument in Halle, Studio Waldemeyer’s Union flag has a similar triple ripple shape and is made up of 169 stainless cut outs. Long steel pins extending out from the cut outs give the Union Flag a uniquely punk element.
Studio Waldemeyer’s Union Flag was exhibited alongside Union Flag creations by the likes of Tom Dixon and Bill Amberg during London design week as part of the Queens Park Design District Event.
